Sitecore Habitat In The Trenches presented by TechGuilds' Dennis Augustine
Thoughtful architecture can transform a simple tool shed into a flexible, efficient work of art that integrates seamlessly into it's surroundings. Whether you're building wooden tool sheds or WCMS systems, great architecture will help make your project look better, perform better, last longer, cost less, and be a heck of a lot more fun to build while poor (or no) architecture can be bad news all around. Habitat is Sitecore's answer to the call for standardized, best-practice-based architectural guidance for Sitecore projects. In this video Dennis Augustine leads a discussion about the pros and cons of the Habitat model and shares practical lessons gleaned from one of TechGuild's recent Habitat-based projects. He is joined by Razor Fish's Ben Swizter who relates their "In the Trenches", real-world experience implementing using Habitat and by Sitecore Habitat's own Thomas Eldblom

[Update - Sep 20, 2016]: One of the many great takeaways from the 2016 Sitecore Symposium is Helix vs Habitat. Helix is a set of overall design principles and conventions for Sitecore development while Habitat is a real Sitecore project implemented on the Sitecore Experience Platform using Helix Architecture.
